Description
Semisynthetic lincosamide antibiotic — highly effective against gram-positive and anaerobic bacterial infections that other antibiotic classes struggle to reach in ornamental fish.
Why choose Clindamycin? Clindamycin belongs to the lincosamide antibiotic class — a distinct family that works differently from penicillins, cephalosporins, and fluoroquinolones. It is particularly effective against gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic organisms that thrive in low-oxygen environments within fish tissue. It is an excellent targeted option when standard broad-spectrum antibiotics have not fully resolved a gram-positive or deep-tissue infection, and is one of the few aquarium antibiotics specifically suited for anaerobic bacterial conditions.
About This Product
Clindamycin HCl is a semisynthetic, lincosamide-class antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial microorganisms, with particular strength against anaerobic bacteria — organisms that survive and thrive in low-oxygen environments within fish tissue, wounds, and internal cavities. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosomal level, stopping bacterial reproduction.
Each capsule contains USP-grade Clindamycin HCl 150mg in a 100-capsule count. As a lincosamide, it fills a unique niche in your aquarium antibiotic toolkit — it is the go-to option for deep-tissue infections, gram-positive resistant strains, and anaerobic bacterial conditions where other antibiotic classes provide incomplete coverage.
Also commonly searched as: fish clindamycin, clindamycin for fish, clindamycin HCl fish antibiotic, fish cin equivalent, lincosamide fish antibiotic, anaerobic fish infection treatment.
